EXCITING times are indeed in the offing for the newly launched Real Betis Academy Zimbabwe!
There has been overwhelming interest in the academy from hundreds of young footballers across the country who want to be part of this exciting football project.
Real Betis Academy Zimbabwe can announce today that almost 1 000 junior footballers have applied to join the academy, which has been tipped to change the face of local football.
The Academy is set to unveil its program in a few weeks, at a gala that will be held in Harare to officially launch the Global Partnership with Spanish La Liga side Real Betis Balompie.
Real Betis Academy Zimbabwe president and chief executive officer, Gerald Sibanda, is confident the project will go a long way in developing football in the country.
“We are very happy to see the response and the confidence the parents and players have shown in our Betis brand of football,” Sibanda said.
“We look forward to unveil the Academy program in a few weeks before schools open during our launch and Gala night of the Global Partnership with Real Betis Balompie,” added the Real Betis Academy Zimbabwe president.
Former Dynamos captain, Murape “Monya for Hire” Murape, was last month appointed head coach of the Real Betis Academy Zimbabwe and will supervise the institution’s technical department.
Real Betis Academy Zimbabwe will soon open a centre in Bulawayo.
The rest of the technical team will be announced next week before they are officially presented at the launch.
